Hello!

I'm Shannon.

HOW'D I GET INTO PHOTOGRAPHY?

I've always loved taking photos and started my journey behind the lens at an early age when borrowing my parents camera. I enjoyed picking up a camera and figuring out the different compositions and settings and just having fun. After a lot of learning as I go and teaching myself, I was also able to expand my skills with a photography course while earning my graphic design major at Ferris State University, which just heightened my enjoyment of photography.

After photographing for friends and family for years, I took the plunge and officially opened Shannon A Reid Photography and Design, which is now known as Shannon Aubrey Photography and Design.

I love meeting new clients, learning about their horses and what discipline they ride (or compete) while at each session. Everyone has a story unique to them and being able to capture the bond that is shared is something I will always cherish. While expanding my business I've gotten to meet a lot of amazing people who allow me to continue with my passion while creating new friendships. How could it get any better?!

What makes booking with me different?

I'm here to make you look good...literally. I believe that begins with creating a comfortable relationship that allows for a more relaxed and enjoyable experience.

I enjoy taking some time while we prep or walk to our location to really get to know each other. What's your story? What makes you "you?" It sounds cheesy, but what do you enjoy? What pets do you have? What do you do outside of work? If it is an equine session, how did you find your equine partner? What makes them special? If an engagement session, how'd you find each other?

After our session I love to keep in touch with clients. Where is your life taking you. If you are a senior, what is life after high school? If it was an engagement or wedding session lets see those honeymoon photos! If it's a horse and rider session what shows or adventures have you gone on?

I also believe that no question is a stupid question. I often get "I know this is stupid but..." Don't hesitate to ask me questions! This is all about you. I'm here to clear up any concerns you have before (and after) our time together. Need outfit advice? Questioning what you should do with your hair? Horse have a new mark on them that you're worried about? Don't hesitate to ask me!

“She did a great job with our pictures! We will be having her take more pictures for us in the future!!”
